Noha Moustafa’s practice focuses on government enforcement actions, complex cross-border matters, white collar defense, and regulatory proceedings. She has conducted internal investigations related to anti-corruption, money laundering, accounting fraud, securities fraud, healthcare fraud, False Claims Act violations and related matters. Ms. Moustafa also assists in counseling corporations and their boards in compliance matters particularly relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the U.K. Bribery Act and related laws.

Some of her representations have included:

- conducting internal investigations for a U.S.-listed, multinational oil services company relating to compliance with anti-corruption laws in agent relationships, and advice regarding compliance enhancements;

- representing a multinational company in an arbitration proceeding concerning an agency relationship that implicated anti-corruption compliance concerns;

- representing a major financial institution in responding to parallel investigations by the DOJ, CFTC, OCC, Federal Reserve, SEC and other foreign authorities alleging price-fixing and other anti-competitive practices in foreign exchange trading;

- representing a health care company in connection with an action brought by the DOJ alleging violations of the False Claims Act; and

- representing a global pharmaceutical company in parallel DOJ and SEC investigations into allegations of accounting fraud.

Prior to joining Skadden, Ms. Moustafa was an intern in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor at the U.S. Department of State. In April 2019, Ms. Moustafa took a four-month leave of absence from Skadden to work with the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) in Amman, Jordan, as a volunteer attorney on refugee resettlement cases. During her time at IRAP, Ms. Moustafa interviewed Syrian and other refugees in particularly vulnerable situations and assisted with processing their family reunification applications under the U.S. Refugee Admissions program. She also was responsible for drafting UNHCR referrals for those in particularly vulnerable situations.

Ms. Moustafa received her Bachelor's degree with distinction for the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude from the University of Michigan Law
