2020 was a unique year for all of us and here at KARAMAH. We made a great improvement in our programming, taking advantage of everyone being online. Our in-person flagship program, Law & Leadership Summer Program, pivoted to being virtual and because of that, we were able to have double the number of participants. In creating KARAMAH, our founders’ foremost goal was to advance Muslim women’s knowledge of their rights and to empower them in the march towards greater participation in their civil societies and the global community. What began in 1993 as a small group of dedicated individuals quickly grew into a vibrant and distinguished organization.
