President of KARAMAH, Raheemah Abdulaleem Esq. lectured at LLSP on August 3rd. \u201cWhen you walk into a room and you see chairs, if there\u2019s no seating arrangement take a seat at the table, and be open to starting a dialogue,\u201d she began. Then, she explained \u201cas Muslim women, sometimes people make assumptions about you. As I approach people, I do not apologize for any of my identities as an African American, as a Muslim, or as a woman. It is who I am, and at work it can be an asset.\u201d When being unapologetic about identity, it is important to address questions in a straightforward manner and share your story if possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
