On Thursday December 17th, 2015, KARAMAH met with Arab leaders from Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. The group of leaders that included human rights activists, attorneys and scholars discussed with Ms. Aisha Rahman, KARAMAH executive director, and Dr. Azizah al-Hibri, KARAMAH Founder, the status of Muslim women\u2019s rights in the US and in Arab countries. The leaders also discussed specific challenges facing women in their respective countries and obstacles patriarchy poses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
