The goals of their October 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0visit included exploring different NGO\u2019s in the U.S., such as KARAMAH, and how those organizations work to fight domestic violence using both the U.S. legal framework and Islamic sources. During the meeting, the group expressed particular interest in formulating strategies to promote more women\u2019s leadership in Pakistan via leadership workshops, mentorship networks, and women\u2019s educational advocacy. Group members also reiterated the need for better access to quality Islamic jurisprudence on domestic violence as a basis for wider cultural awareness and change. Engaging men, group members expressed, will be an important key to the success of DV efforts in Pakistan.
