In addition to Ms. Abdelkader, this symposium also featured prominent Muslim scholars and legal leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her speech, Ms. Abdelkader spoke about the recent movement by many states to outlaw the consideration of Islamic law in courts. Ms. Abdelkader presented both the constitutional problems with such laws, as well as the impact of such laws on Muslim-Americans.
