The women are all college students in Afghanistan and represented a variety of fields, including education, computer science, English language and literature, medicine, and engineering. During the meeting,KARAMAH staff spoke about the organization\u2019s history and impact, emphasizing the important role that Muslim women should play in leading their communities. Participants also shared their experiences in Afghanistan, the biggest challenges they feel are facing Afghani women, and their own personal challenges in leading their communities. Among the challenges mentioned by the women were the misconceptions that some in their communities hold about women\u2019s education and travel.
