Earlier this month, we mourned the passing of a pioneer in the Muslim community, Shaykh Taha Jabir Al-Alwani. At the 2016 Pearls of the Qur’an conference, Dr. Zainab Alwani shared her father’s legacy in the scholarship of Qur’anic studies. She told the story of how just days before his death, Shaykh Taha wrote these words, “I Am A Muslim”, which she graciously shared with the audience.
