Without knowledge action is useless, and knowledge without action is futile.
Research is the core of KARAMAH’s work, and serves as the bridge between thought and action in the struggle for justice. KARAMAH’s authentic, yet innovative research in Islamic jurisprudence is the source of the knowledge base essential to the promotion of the rights of Muslim women, and human rights for all, in an Islamic context.
Our Programs
KARAMAH has worked to develop intensive and innovative educational programs that provide Muslim women with the tools and skills they need to become dynamic leaders in their communities. After graduating from KARAMAH’s programs, alumnae have returned to their communities to serve as leaders, to share their knowledge, and to work for positive change in their communities. Through their efforts, and with ongoing support from KARAMAH, our impact is felt by hundreds more women around the world.
