Elisabeth Dahl grew up in Baltimore, Maryland; studied literature and writing at Johns Hopkins (B.A.) and Georgetown (M.A.); and worked in publishing in Washington, DC, and the San Francisco Bay Area. She now lives back in Baltimore, where she writes for children and adults. Her first book and great success is GENIE WISHES.
