KARAMAH’s Founder and Chair, Dr. Azizah al-Hibri, was recently featured on the latest edition of International Bar Association’s magazine, IBA Global Insight. In this article, Dr. Azizah al-Hibri shared her views on women’s rights in the Middle East, the developments and implications of the Arab Spring and Western perceptions of the Muslim world since 9/11.
The article also highlighted KARAMAH’s mission of promoting human rights and a gender-equitable understanding of Islam and the role an organization like KARAMAH plays in enlightening “both those in the West and in the Middle East itself on protecting and promoting women’s rights and human rights as a whole.” Read the article
